1. Scope and person in charge
01This policy applies to spare.cool, the Spare applications, extensions and related integrations. The public contact for the Privacy Officer of Technologie Spare inc. is support@spare.cool.
02Technologie Spare inc. operates the Spare service. Personal contact details of its directors are not published on the site.
2. Information we collect
01Depending on the features used, we may collect account information, technical device identifiers, client version, permission status and events needed to determine whether a sponsored presentation was visible during an eligible wait.
02Security logs may include time, request type, operating system, operation result and reduced network information. Payment information will be collected only after a compliant payment service is activated.

3. What Spare does not read
01Spare does not read or upload prompts, generated responses, conversations, source code, file names or file contents. We do not capture the screen, microphone, camera, clipboard or individual keystrokes.
4. Purposes and consent
01We use information only to provide requested features, secure the account and device, confirm an eligible presentation, prevent fraud, provide support and meet legal obligations.
02Where processing depends on consent, you can withdraw it. Non-essential integrations are off by default and can be revoked individually.
5. Cookies and local storage
01The site uses cookies strictly necessary for authentication and security. No non-essential advertising cookie is enabled on the English or French pages without a valid prior choice.
02The app stores settings, a private device key and a limited retry queue locally. The private key is not sent to the server.
6. Service providers and transfers outside Québec
01Hosting, email, security or payment providers may process the minimum information needed for their mandate. Before personal information is communicated outside Québec, we must complete the required privacy impact assessment and govern the transfer in writing.
02We do not sell personal information or disclose work content to advertisers.
7. Retention and disposal
01Information is kept only as long as needed for the stated purposes and security, settlement, accounting or evidentiary obligations. Internal rules provide for periodic review and deletion or legally compliant anonymization when permitted.
02A deletion request does not erase records that the law requires us to keep, but their use is then restricted.
8. Safeguards
01Safeguards include encryption in transit, hardened password hashing, protected session cookies, key-based device authentication, token revocation, access controls, rate limits and security logging.
02No system is perfectly secure. A confidentiality incident is assessed, recorded and reported to people or authorities when required by law.
9. Your rights
01You may request access or correction, withdraw consent where permitted, request that dissemination or indexing cease in circumstances provided by law, and complain about our practices.
02Write to support@spare.cool. We may verify identity proportionately before responding; never email a password, one-time code or identity document through ordinary email.
10. Automated decisions and minors
01Automated signals may flag an anomaly or temporarily pause a presentation, but a review can be requested. Spare is not directed to people under 14 in Québec, and we do not knowingly seek their information without appropriate consent.
11. Changes and complaints
01A material change will be announced prominently before it takes effect, and the earlier version will remain identifiable. You may first contact the Privacy Officer and retain the right to contact Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
