Terms of use

01Spare is offered by Technologie Spare inc. as a controlled test. Requests may be sent to support@spare.cool.

02No payment is required to use Spare. No paid subscription or Québec consumer distance contract is accepted until a compliant checkout is active.

01You must have legal capacity and use Spare only on devices and accounts you are authorized to administer. You must provide accurate information and protect your access credentials.

02Spare is an AI waiting community: you can browse, play and download small works and ideas; registered users can like, favourite, comment on and submit works and ideas; and the Spare desktop app (macOS) pops up works you choose while your AI generates. Spare shows no ads and pays no revenue share, cash rewards or referral bonuses. The API console is for Spare administrators only; no API keys are issued to users.

01Every integration is optional and off by default. Spare directs you to official settings but never consents on your behalf or bypasses system safeguards.

02You can skip a permission, close a work, pause the app or remove an integration at any time.

01Registered users with a verified email may submit works (a ZIP package up to 150 MB with a cover image) and ideas. Every submission is reviewed by a person before it is published. We may ask for changes or decline a submission, and we try to explain why. Approval is not a guarantee about the work.

02You keep ownership of your content. You grant Spare a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process for technical purposes (such as thumbnails, format conversion or sandbox packaging), display and distribute your published content, and to let other users download and use it for personal use as described on the work’s page. When you delete the content or close your account, the licence ends for new display and distribution, except for copies other users already downloaded and records we must keep for legal or dispute purposes.

03You confirm that you created the content or hold the rights needed to share it, that you credit the assets you use, and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights.

01You must not submit or post malware, crypto-mining code, tracking or analytics scripts, unapproved network requests, features that collect personal information, advertising, promotions or paywalls, interfaces that imitate a system alert or AI response, or content that is illegal, infringing, sexual, violent, hateful, harassing or fraudulent.

02Comments must be respectful and on topic: no harassment, spam, advertising, impersonation or other people’s personal information. Likes, favourites and downloads must reflect real use.

03We may review, decline, hide or remove content and restrict accounts that break these terms or the law, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers. Except in urgent or legally required cases, we give the main reason and a way to contest it.

04To report content or send a copyright or other rights notice, write to support@spare.cool with your contact details, a link to the content, proof of your rights and an explanation. We act promptly on valid notices, may forward them to the person who posted the content, and consider their response.

05Most works are made by other users. We review them and run them in a sandbox, but cannot guarantee that a work is error-free or suits your needs. You download and use third-party works at your own risk; do not run unknown files outside the sandbox. The work’s page sets out how it may be used.

01The one-time sign-up AI credit campaign ended on 2026-10-21. Accounts that already received the credit keep the unused balance under the original usage rules: it can be used only inside the Spare desktop app to call models from multiple providers, at the consumption rates shown in the app, and it is not transferable or redeemable for cash.

02The credit has no cash value. It is not stored value, a deposit or a means of payment, and it cannot be transferred, sold, withdrawn, refunded or exchanged for cash or anything else. Unused credit ends when the account is closed.

03One credit per person. We may refuse, freeze, reclaim or adjust credit obtained with disposable emails, multiple or bulk accounts, automation or other abuse, and restrict the account. To detect abuse we use signals described in the privacy policy, such as a one-way IP hash and the email domain.

04The credit may expire as shown in your account or the app. Available models, providers and rates may change, and no model is guaranteed to stay available. Spare may change, pause or end the program; we will give reasonable notice of material changes affecting credit already granted, subject to applicable law.

05Outputs come from third-party models and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for how you use them and must follow the model provider’s usage policies.

01You must not fabricate or replay events, automate downloads, likes, favourites or comments, create bulk accounts, bypass limits or the sandbox, reverse engineer non-public interfaces or keys, impersonate a device or obtain AI credit improperly. An anomaly may lead to a pause and review, with an opportunity to contest.

01Spare, its interface, code and documentation (excluding user content) remain the property of their owners. The test grants a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable and non-exclusive licence, subject to mandatory legal rights.

01A test release may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn for security, compatibility, maintenance or compliance. Material changes affecting rights or personal information will be announced appropriately.

01You may stop using Spare and request account closure. We may suspend access, remove content or freeze AI credit when use threatens security, violates the law or these terms, or shows serious fraud indicators, then provide a reason and review channel where reasonably possible.

01Spare does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for intentional or gross fault, privacy obligations and mandatory consumer rights. Any limitation must be read consistently with applicable law.

02Within those limits, Spare is not responsible, beyond its own fault, for content created by other users or for third-party model services.

01Québec and Canadian law applies to Québec-directed use without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections in their place of residence. Complaints may be sent to support@spare.cool.

02The French version is offered first and remains available at all times. After reviewing it, a user may expressly choose English. For a Québec user, the French version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
